The repeating ancient Chinese meander or "Greek fret" encircles the top of the jar and edge of the lid

with subtle hand-applied pigment accents

The method of construction (wooden pin) as well as all the early industrial copper handles with exception of minor signs of past use and a nice warm aged century old patina
