A winter scene of Icicles dangle beneath frozen crab apples after a freezing rain storm passes through the night before in Northern Illinois at Wildflower Park

I arrived at Scott Lake early in the morning in late September to a fresh blanket of snow

The morning light was filtering through the bluish/purple/grayish storm clouds and some lightning was coming through

What a beautiful and peaceful morning to be out enjoying nature at Wildflower park

but before I do I turn to look back and notice this beautiful scene in from of me

As I was snowshoeing along, I came upon this majestic scene of snow covered fir trees. Stopping me in my tracks, I gazed out into the wilderness in awe at how beautiful this scene was. (173 657)
