Until end of turn, that player can't cast spells, you may look at the top card of their library any time, you may play the top card of their library, and you may spend mana as though it were mana of any color to cast spells this way
A fully set up field will be bouncing Dream Eater back and forth with Thassa, Deep-Dwelling.
The most important factors are edition (1st Edition, Shadowless, Unlimited), condition (mint cards command premiums), rarity (holographic, secret rare, full art), age (vintage Base Set cards are highly sought after), and the Pokemon itself (Charizard, Pikachu, and fan favorites are worth more)
Players will also be able to build powerful decks using some of their favourite first-gen Pokmon, including the impressive Mew and Mewtwo cards
Your decks need to be able to do those things. Based on the bolded sections here, the play experience they are looking to cultivate is wildly different from my own ideal game
